Kevin Foley is the latest member of the Wolves playing staff to take on the role of Honorary Member. He accepted the role after the home game with Blackpool last season when he met some of the members at the presentation to Micky Gray as Player of the year.
He seemed genuinely interested in the DDCWWFCSC and what we get up to and spent time talking to the younger members who were present. Since then he has had a particularly busy time of things; becoming a father for the first time towards the end of the season, and winning the Championship with Wolves and all the hulabaloo that went with that. He has also won his first full international cap with Eire, and of course been acclaimed as Player of the Year not just at Wolves, but also in the voting for the DDCWWFCSCPOTY.
Kevin and his partner Llewella got to spend time with us all at the Annual Dinner in january 2010, when he made his debut at the Dinner and collected his POTY award. They both were quickly at home with the members, and enjoyed the festivities although unususlly nervous before the presentation, it turns out that his table had wound him up that he was expected to sing when collecting his award!!
Both Llewella and Kevin said how much they enjoyed the dinner and were looking forward to another later in the year when we are due at Molineux to celebrate our 35th Anniversary.
