To help with various jobs on the Dinner day, both on the night and beforehand. There will be a couple of fund raising activities during the evening that I will need volunteers for, plus help in setting up the room before most arrive and possible help at lunchtime.
Please email me if you are prepared to help.
Thanks
Coxy
….are attending our 35th Anniversary Dinner on the 16th October in the Hayward Suite at Molineux. It’s not too late if you want to join us for the evening, please contact Coxy using the link below and send him a cheque.
Graham Turner – now Manager of high flying Shrewsbury Town, and Graham Hawkins – who now works for the football league are amongst many former Wolves stars and greats for our 5 course Dinner. Joining them for his debut at one of our Dinners is current Assistant Manager Terry Connor. Former players include – but not limited to – Mike Bailey, John Richards, David Wagstaffe, Derek Parkin, Frank Munro, John McAlle, Geoff Palmer, Terry Wharton. Kevin Foley will also be attending as will Wolves Director John Gough and Club Secretary Richard Skirrow.
Another new addition to the list and very welcome he is too, is our very first Player of the Year Winner Ken Hibbitt who has just told me that he and his wife Jane will be joining us.
Some 200 places have been taken, so there’s still room for you……
Well the money is pouring in for the Dinner on the 16th October, and hopefully we’ll have a full house. What we need to get straight before the home game with Villa is your correct price for your table should you be looking for a table of 8 discount.
So please send me the names of the people on your table, and I’ll confirm back your total, along with the balance outstanding from the deposits already paid.
Once you know the balance, then I’ll be looking for payment in full of your balance at that Villa game preferrably by cheque made payable to DDCWWFCSC. Thanks.
Hopefully many of you intend turning up with your dinner money tomorrow, prices are £44 for members £49 for non members. Table prices are £350 if the are 4 or more members on a table, or £370 if there are 3 or less members.
If possible please pay by cheque made payable to the DDCWWFCSC.
Payment secures your place, and I am confident of selling out before the night.
We can now announce the prices for the tickets for the 35th Annual Dinner in the Hayward Suite at Molineux on Saturday 16th October.
Members from last season qualify for their usual £5 discount, so there is a price for Members and one for non – members, but this year for the first time there is a small discount for booking a table of 8. This is slightly complicated by the members discount, so there’s one table price if there’s 4 or more members in the group of 8, and another if there is less than 4.
We have several famous names that have accepted already including former Wolves Manager, and now Shrewsbury Town Manager, Graham Turner, he is joined by fellow Hall of Fame inductees Mike Bailey & John Richards. In addition we have David Wagstaffe, Willie Carr, Terry Wharton, Kevin Foley and Director John Gough and Club Secretary Richard Skirrow.
So the price are as follows:-
Members £44 per person, Non – members £49 per person.
Table of 8 with 4 members minimum £350
Table of 8 with 3 or less members £370
The evening consists of a formal 5 course meal, followed by speeches and presentations then dancing to a live band. The evening comes to a close at 1am. For more information, please contact Chris Cox on the email details on the home page.
The reaction to our dinner has been fantastic! From both members and guests alike we are getting a great reaction. Hopefully we shall be announcing the prices soon, and also details about the band for the evening but in the mean time we have had accptances from the following guests:- Mike Bailey, John Richards, Willie Carr, Graham Turner, John Gough, Richard Skirrow, Kevin Foley, Terry Wharton, Geoff Palmer, and David Wagstaffe. There are several more irons in the fire with invites sent and people either away currently r getting back to me.
What you the member need to do to secure your place, is to make a deposit of £10 or £20 per head, but then pay off the balance by the home game with Aston Villa. You can book as an individual, a pair or a group with there being a SMALL discount for groups of 8. But key to this is that we only have home games with Southend, Newcastle and Villa to pay me in person, otherwise it needs to be by cheque and post (made payable to the DDCWWFCSC).
Iam confident that we will sell out all 250 places, so bring your deposit to the next home game – ideally Southend on Tuesday – to guarantee your place at the event of the year!
Well it had to happen and I have told most of you – so don’t act surprised!! Yes after some 20 odd years subs are going up. Their will be 3 price bands which are:-
Children & People in full time education unchanged at £2:50 per season.
Retired People irrespective of age: £5 per season.
Full membership for the rest of us: £10 per season.
There are several reasons for this, to increase our working capital during the season, to help finance the 35th Annual Dinner in October and because it’s about time they bloody well did!!
It will still be the best £10 you spend all year, and all the same events services etc remain in place. Although we can’t promise we’ll try to keep it at £10 for the foreeable future, but maybe not 20 years!!
Our tickets for the Stoke game go on sale on Saturday 7th at 5pm. Tickets can only be bought via the website. Strictly on a one ticket per person basis. Other applications by phone will be considered from 6pm on Tuesday 10th. Ticket prices are 24 pounds for this game, but remember we have only 8 up for grabs this season.
As some of you know Chris Cox after 4 years service, has, by the rules laid down, had to step down from the Wolves Parliament. But knowing this was looming he spoke to some of the members for a replacement and Owen Hughes stepped forward and has been accepted by Wolves.
Early into the new season we’ll set up some sort of link to Owen so that you can get any issues raised with him directly. Needless to say the Chairman has already been bending his ear about various issues, not least the upheaval from the North Bank whilst the ground is redeveloped.
I’ll get a photo of Owen shortly to add onto the website so that you know who he is. But he attends most games and will stand up to the football club and make his point in the right way. I’m sure you all join me in wishing Owen god luck in this new role on our behalf.
