Fulham

Last trip to The Smoke to play the (hopefully) rapidly-tiring Cottagers. All that Cottaging obviously a bit of a drain.

A good old selection for us. The White Horse on Parson’s Green is nearby, but I think that may be the 1st port of call for AFTER the game.

Beforehand, just over the river in Putney:-

For earlybirds, the Railway by Putney overground station – a Wetherspoon’s, in the middle of their Spring Beer Fest, for starters (open 9am!!); followed by the Bricklayers Arms (12noon), in a secluded back street, very near Putney Bridge. A frequent award winner, it arries the full Tim Taylors range; local brewer Sambrook’s; + guests, etc.

For those with even more time on their hands, mention must be made of the unique Cat’s Back – a pleasant 15min or so riverside (mainly) walk going east, on the south of the river from the bridge, passing through Wandsworth Park. Choc full of all manner of random everythingiana, it’s a bit like having a pint in Steptoe’s living room. You’ll know it by the 1960’s Shellmex petrol pump outside, of course.

The maps have a few more options for the seriously thirsty.

Tek me Drinkin!!
